Social Messaging Streamlined.

The Nambu Network is creating the best possible social messaging experience: elegantly integrated with a superior look and feel.

Nambu OS X is still in beta, but progressing quickly.

    * Great Twitter support with multiple accounts, timelines, mentions and direct mentions in a single or separate streams.

    * Twitter Groups so you can separate people or services into separate groups so you never miss that key tweet.

    * Threaded @mentions so conversations you are having appear together in one place, with the original tweet you sent.

    * Persistent Twitter Search so you can track a keyword on Twitter in real-time, or check out the latest trends.

    * Multiple view options so you can combine everyting into a single stream, have Twitter feel like Mac Mail, or see mutliple columns at the same time.

    * Integrated tr.im support for URL shortening with your tr.im or Nambu account to track statistics.

    * And more...

Little Snitch tells you when a program tries to send info to the internet. If you do not like the idea of information possibly being gathered from your computer and being sent to who-knows-where for who-knows-what, Little Snitch helps. When an application tries to establish a network connection, Little Snitch intercepts the attempt and brings up an alert panel giving you all the connection details including the name of the application, which initiated the connection. You either choose to allow the connection, to deny it or to add a permanent rule for similar future connections.

    <text>I'm not a big fan of Adobe Air applications, however, TweetDeck is a great option if you are an advanced twitter user.

The default setup comes with 3 colums, but I recommend using the single column option if you don't wanna use all that space. TweetDeck shines on a second monitor/laptop by your desktop.

It would be nice to hace different skins, the buttons are not what you would call intuitive. Different accounts management would be nice too.</text>

TweetDeck is an Adobe Air desktop application that is currently in public beta. It aims to evolve the existing functionality of Twitter by taking an abundance of information (i.e twitter feeds), and breaking it down into more manageable bite sized pieces. TweetDeck enables users to split their main feed (All Tweets) into topic or group specific columns allowing a broader overview of tweets. To do this All Tweets are saved to a local database. The far left column will always contain All Tweets. The GROUP, SEARCH and REPLIES buttons then allow the user to make up additional columns populated from the database. Once created these additional columns will automatically update allowing the user to keep track of a twitter threads far easier.

    <text>I bought a lifetime license after trying it for a few days. It needs improvement, specially when it comes to performance. Crashes too often.

TuneUp uses Gracenote as its database, so you are limited to that. It would be nice if you could edit the suggested results and cover, and use other sources.

It starts everytime you run iTunes and there's no option to turn that off. Very annoying.

Being that said, it's one of the best options out there. Hope we have a new version soon that focuses on performance.</text>

GrandPerspective is a small utility application for Mac OS X that graphically shows the disk usage within a file system. It can help you to manage your disk, as you can easily spot which files and folders take up the most space. It uses a so called tree map for visualisation. Each file is shown as a rectangle with an area proportional to the file's size. Files in the same folder appear together, but their placement is otherwise arbitrary.
